Sutomore at a glance
Sutomore sits in a wide bay north of Bar, between green hills and a long beach of sand and fine pebbles. A promenade runs along the shore, lined with cafés, restaurants and shops. In July and August it is one of the busiest resorts on this stretch of coast. In winter the town is much quieter, and many houses stay closed until spring.
Getting here is simple. Sutomore has a station on the railway from Belgrade to Bar, and the road through the Sozina tunnel links this part of the coast with Podgorica. On the hill above the town stand the ruins of the Haj-Nehaj fortress.
